Lyrae needed a simple accounting tool that knows Estonian requirements: invoices, the VAT return and payroll taxes. The result is a web app that other small businesses can use too.
A small business often keeps invoices, bank statements, expenses and reports in different places. Calculating the VAT return and payroll taxes by hand takes time and invites mistakes.
A web app to create sales invoices and download them as PDFs, manage customers and vendors, record purchase invoices and expenses, import Swedbank statements and match transactions to invoices automatically. It includes a chart of accounts, fixed assets, and employees and payslips with Estonia's 2026 tax rates. Reports cover the VAT return (KMD), the KMD INF annex, balance sheet, profit and loss, and receivables aging. Company details can be fetched by registry code, and one account can manage several organisations.
AI agents built the app with Next.js Server Components and Server Actions and a Prisma data model designed for multiple companies from the start. The invoice PDF layout is identical in the app and in a separate rendering script.
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Prisma, SQLite, Tailwind CSS, React PDF.
Lyrae issues its own invoices with the app.
