Inspiration

Aquaway is a swimming school for children and adults with several pools in Tallinn. Its earlier solution ran on Firebase, and the school's daily work – registrations, contracts, attendance and invoices – needed one shared place.

Problem

A parent wants to register a child for a group, sign a contract and see invoices without phone calls and e-mails. A coach needs the day's lessons and groups in one view, and an admin needs an overview of pools, programmes and users.

What we built

A public website with programmes, groups, pools, coaches and prices, connected to a self-service portal. A parent or adult student adds children, registers for a group, signs the contract with Smart-ID or Mobile-ID and sees their invoices. Coaches get lesson and group views; admins manage users, pools and programmes. Background jobs generate lessons, expire packages, flag overdue invoices and send reminders. Languages: Estonian, Russian and English.

Development process

Our AI agent team started from a business and technical analysis and a design system, then built a monorepo with three apps (web, admin, background jobs) and wrote a script to migrate the data from Firebase to PostgreSQL.

Technologies

Next.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, Redis, S3 storage, Tailwind CSS, Dokobit (Smart-ID/Mobile-ID).
